Kickoff Event of new GAMM Student Chapter
Heidelberg, 23th May 2025
In May 2025, we officially launched the Heidelberg University GAMM Student Chapter alongside our existing SIAM Student Chapter. The kick-off event featured a talk by Prof. Dr. Claudia Schillings (GAMM Board Member) about her career at GAMM and about her research field Baysian Inverse Problems. Further we invited former Chapter Board Members Ole Klein, Charlotte Boys and Ihno Schrot to talk about their experiences with the Chapter. All of this was followed by a lively get-together with food, drinks, and networking opportunities. We welcomed master's and PhD students from applied mathematics, computer science, mechanics, and related fields.
95th Annual Meeting of GAMM in Poznań
Poznań, 7th - 11th April 2025
In March 2025, our chapter was represented at the 95th Annual Meeting of GAMM in Poznań, Poland. Hannah Rickmann traveled to the conference and took part in the GAMM General Assembly, where she presented the Heidelberg SIAM Student Chapter and connected with participants from other student chapters and the international applied mathematics community.
